PLAY: SPIN New York is a venue of its very own kind, a fusion table tennis and social club. It is a membership only, so you just need to be sure to sign up for a monthly membership, or you can stop by on Wednesday nights for non-member games.

SEE:Coco Avant Chanel directed by Anne Fontaine tells the story Coco Chanel – from her small beginnings to becoming one of the most iconic women in the fashion industry. This movie is not one to be missed and DVF loved it.

EAT: Yerba Buena is an East Village classic, but has just opened a swanky new outpost in the West Village. Try the Empanadas and the pork Arepas…or any of the other delicious Latin options on the menu – but make a reservation in advance!

Don’t Miss: Masks and Mirrors at the DVF Gallery. The exhibition is part of BrandAid project’s commitment to helping artists in developing countries create prosperity. The work of Haitian artisans Croix des Bouquets and Carnival Jakmel will be on display through October 4th next door to DVF at 444 West 14th Street.

See: Georgia O’Keefe Abstraction at the Whitney. Over 130 paintings, drawings, watercolors, and sculptures by O’Keeffe as well as some of Alfred Stieglitz’s photographic portrait series of O’Keeffe are on display through January – but Fall flies – so get there while you can.

Sing Along: To the revival of Bye Bye Birdie, which is now in previews on Broadway. Gina Gershon as Rose Alvarez and John Stamos as Albert Peterson? We can’t wait to see.

Enjoy: This Labor Day Weekend we welcome back again for the 7th year running, the Great world Beer Festival of NYC! Come to the Park Avenue Armory (park Ave at 67th st) and sample 100s of beers from over 50 brewers. ENJOY GREAT FOOD, GREAT MUSIC, and four hours of tasting!

View: Iran Inside and Out at the Chelsea Art Museum at 556 W 22nd Street. A timeless exhibit taking a deeper look into the lives of the Iranian people influences of homeland and Diaspora from the Artistic language of 56 contemporary Iranian Artists some of which are still living there. The exhibit touches upon certain themes including: gender and sexuality (”From Iran to Queeran”), war and politics (the satiric “In Search of the Axis of Evil”).

Check out: Abbey Golden’s WITNESS opening at the Cameo gallery tonight (hidden in the Lovin’ Cup Cafe). Featuring the works Abbey Golden, an incredibly talented, young emerging artist matched with similarly styled musician playing at this spot in Williamsburg. Drinks, original art, live acoustic music and a DJ spinning will finish out the night.

See: Taking Woodstock, Ang Lee’s long awaiting flick based on the historic events of the infamous original three day music festival in Woodstock, NY. Join Elliot Tiber (played by Demtri Martin) while he makes Woodstock the event and happening that it was. If you have a soft spot for great music, grassy fields and flowers in your hair be sure to check out Taking Woodstock this Friday.

Catch: This is your last weekend to catch Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies with a view. The outdoor film series concludes the summer with a Tim Burton classic 90’s film Edward Scissorhands.  Come down to the park to enjoy one of the city’s premiere outdoor film series with breathtaking views of the NYC waterfront.

SeeInglourious Basterds starring Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Diane Kruger and Christoph Waltz.  If you don’t already know, it’s Quentin Tarantino’s long-awaited WWII flick about Nazi-hunting Americans, featuring Diane as a German double agent and Melanie as a undercover cinema proprietress.

HearGirl Talk at Williamsburg Waterfront on Sunday. Gates open at 2pm for a free pool party featuring a live performance, on-site dodgeball and three-on-three basketball.

ShopBK PoP: A PoP Up Experience Shop in DUMBO, Brooklyn on Sunday from 2 to 7pm.  A crew of artists and designers takeover a loft and turn it into a fashion, art and music house.  Enjoy apps, bevs and complimentary spa services.  Best part… admission is free!
