Madonna with Ingrid Betancourt and Cristina Fernández
Who: Her Madgesty
Why: Because she isn’t just about building buzz, she’s about building relationships. During the Latin American leg of her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ world tour, she made a point of meeting with Argentinean president Cristina Fernández and former guerilla-held hostage Ingrid Betancourt in Buenos Aires. But it wasn’t that far of a stretch – the pop star is in familiar territory as she sang “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” on the presidential palace balcony in 1996 for the film Evita.
Where: The presidential palace in Buenos Aires
What: The Eartha dress in black from Fall ‘08.
