CFDA BREAST CANCER BENEFIT
On Tuesday June 19th, Diane von Furstenberg hosted a luncheon to inaugurate the Council of Fashion Designers of America's new global initiative for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer - a partnership with Ralph Lauren and Net-a-porter. The fashion-heavy crowd included Ralph Lauren, Oscar de La Renta, Reed Krakoff, Rachel Roy, Tommy Hilfiger, Marchesa's Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman.
Ralph Lauren kicked off the charitable fashion collection by introducing his $75 limited-edition classic polo, affixed with the FTBC trademark blue-and-white bullseye logo. Natalie Massenet, Net-a-Porter founder, hopes to raise more than $1 million with the Lauren shirt alone which is only the first of several exclusive items in the 12-month partnership. DVF plans to create a wrap dress of her own design for the foundation.
