Eat: Gansevoort 69. After much anticipation, the restaurant that was once home to our favorite local spot Florent has finally opened.   With a complete renovation, the cold weather rolling in and  a new menu serving up comfort food, we will need to check it out. Time will only tell if the French fries can compete to the previous tenants…

Eat More! Check out the second annual NYC Food & Wine Festival happening right now in the hood. Tons of events, presentations and tastings featuring New York and the world’s best chefs!

Sip: Meatpacking Uncorked on October 9th. As part of the festival, wine tastings will take place at many of the neighborhood’s fashionable shops. The event also features live music and entertainment, including a performance by cult cabaret stars Lady Rizo and the Assettes in Gansevoort Plaza. Don’t forget to stop by the DVF shop!
