Next up… model, mother, activist Elle Macpherson, who was recently honored at the Women’s World Awards Gala in Vienna. She took home the World Career award for her beachwear business.

What inspires you? I am inspired by life!! My children, my work, art, music and literature. I am inspired by the hope and restructuring that is taking place in our political and financial environment. These challenging changes are giving people the opportunity to question the value of the tangibles and reach for the intangibles.

What makes you proud to be a woman? I was recently in Vienna at the Women’s World Awards and was fortunate to be honored. More importantly I had the chance to meet and exchange ideas with incredible women who are brave and persistent in their commitment to women’s rights and the millennium development goal of supporting women around the world with maternal health, education and combating HIV and AIDS.

What are you celebrating this month? I am celebrating my children’s creativity this month.
