DVF in T&C

This month’s Town & Country has a very familiar face on the cover - Diane! The theme of the special issue is Wonder Women, and includes profiles from other inspiring and intriguing women like Michelle Obama and Tina Fey. The issue theme is particularly fitting for DVF, considering our recent Wonder Woman inspiration (Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be!) and also given her committment to causes like Vital Voices. For Diane, it isn’t just about being a Wonder Woman, it’s about helping other women realize their own inner strength or as she says, “my mission in life is the empowerment of women…this is the legacy I want to leave behind.”

In the 6 plus page story, Diane talks candidly to T&C about everything…and anything. She recalls arriving in New York in 1972, the same year that she also landed her first cover of Town & Country (in which they described her as having “the sultriness of a Biblical temptress”). She remembers her mother’s most enduring advice “fear is not an option,” and also how she taught her to be independent. Shot at the DVF studio, Diane dons some looks from the Spring 2009 Rock Goddess collection (coming to DVF shops in February).
