JAPAN SNAPSHOTS
May 30th, 2008
When in Tokyo, I always dream of running away to the country…this time I did it!
Barry and I got into a car and drove to Mount Takao, one hour from the center of Tokyo. It was an amazing hike, 1800 feet high, with a most spectacular view of Mount Fuji and magnificent foliage of red maples.
Coming down, we visited the Takasan Yaku-ou-in Temple, from 744 AD, revering the Buddha of Healing. Then it was off to Tokyo, where our visit included the best sushi in the city, scouting Japanese street style, and meeting the DVF shop girls at my newest boutique.
